At Gimme's Par & Grill, we love a good game - no matter where it's played. But more than that, we love giving back to the community that supports us. On February 10th, we had the incredible opportunity to partner with the Grand Rapids Griffins, the Grand Rapids Youth Foundation, and First Tee of West Michigan for the Winter Golf Classic to raise money for youth sports in our community.
The Winter Golf Classic was a Night of Friendly Competition for a Great Cause
Hockey players are known for their grit, skill, and teamwork on the ice (just ask anyone who watched USA vs. Canada in the 4 Nations Face-Off Final) - but how do they stack up on the golf course? We put that to the test when Griffins players stopped by Gimme's to tee it up with fans. The event featured a player auction, where fans bid for a chance to play a round of golf with their favorite Griffins players inside our state-of-the-art simulators.
The best part? Every dollar raised went to supporting the Grand Rapids Griffins Youth Foundation and First Tee of West Michigan, two organizations dedicated to growing youth hockey and making golf more accessible to kids in West Michigan.
Why It Matters
At Gimme's we believe sports teach discipline, teamwork, and confidence - values that go far beyond the rink or the fairway. Supporting youth sports programs like First Tee and the Grand Rapids Youth Foundation means giving local kids the change to learn, grow, and compete.
The event was an incredible success, not just in fundraising but in bringing the community together. Griffins players, Gimme's guests, and young athletes all shared in a night of fun, friendly competition, and giving back.
